Construction
Routed Engraving Stock signs are made of a 2 layer laminated plastic engraving stock. The surface/background layer is mechanically routed away to expose the contrasting core/letter color. Materials designed to be lased, can also be routed.
Art & Design
In house layouts that use the fonts designed for this process are much preferred (and usually cheaper!) If you have artwork you wish to reproduce, you will be better served using Lased Engraving Stock. In any case, if you begin a job by providing artwork you must provide new artwork with every subsequent order and art charges will apply each time.
Miscellany
Overall size is limited to 24”x48”. No single design element larger than 12”x24”.
Routed Engraving Stock, with the notable exceptions of the Mattes, “Metals”, and “Woods” are generally more durable than their laser counterparts due to the thicker “cap” layer.
We recommend cleaning only with a soft rag. A small amount of Pledge furniture wax may help remove smudges and finger prints.
